Vaňková, Kristýna ; Bílek, František (referee) ; Makovský, Zdeněk (advisor)
This project deals with design of a residential complex in city district Brno-Komín. Given area is sloping and forms a connection between the urban area and the forest. The aim of this project was to propose a solution that offers enough private and public places and is sensitive to its surroundings. I designed a complex of single and double storey atrial houses accessible from the residential street. It is primarily intended for pedestrians, but it also enables entrance and parking of cars. The road and garages are located in the north part of the area along the old tree alley. I situated two villas embedded into the hill in the steepest part of the area. The houses form a natural transition between the urban area and the forest.

The subject of my thesis is the preparation of project documentation for the construction of an atrium building in modern buildings in the village Spojil street on the Okružní 116/1. A typical char will be the atrium, which will be adjacent residential areas, while in the peripheral walls of the minimum window for privacy for their residents. The building is without a basement, with single-storey flat roof. The base structure is designed from the blocks and shuttering Best of strip footings of plain concrete. The outer and inner walls of the bricks POROTHERM Profi DRYFIX. The house is designed as a single-member family for 4-5 personers. The proposed residential complex is situated in the town district Brno – Komín. The proposed place is located in a complex of other family houses with numerous family life possibilities. The residential complex relates well with the environment which is attractive for families with children. The supporting idea of the general conception is to utilize the counter-line character of the building estate and use a gentle rotation in order to achieve as beautiful lookouts in each property as possible. The proposal consists of three types of family houses. Terraced houses are situated in the lowest part of the building estate and they are followed by two types of atrial houses distributed throughout a gentle slope. These continue until the foothill, on which a villa is located with a unique lookout in the surroundings. The project is a continuation of a tiny neighboring estate of regular family buildings, it however retains its own conception without disturbing the character of the surrounding landscape.
